Russian, Namibian ministers to discuss uranium deposits, transportation, arms trade

MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - Russian and Namibian Foreign Ministers Sergei Lavrov and Utoni Nujoma will hold talks in Moscow on May 16, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich has announced.

"The talks will deal with the key aspects of the Russian-Namibian partnership in the context of the task to implement joint projects in such areas as the development of uranium deposits, transportation and arms trade," Lukashevich said in a statement posted on the Foreign Ministry's website on Friday.

A discussion of international problems will also take place, including the situation in Africa and the Middle East, he said.

The Namibian foreign minister will be in Moscow on an official visit from May 14 to 16.
