Kazakhstan's internal gas price to be $59 per 1,000 m3 by 2015

ASTANA. May 17 (Interfax) - The gas price in Kazakhstan's internal market could be around $59 per 1,000 m3 by 2015, Oil and Gas Minister Sauat Mynbaev said.

"If we are talking about the gas price, by 2015 it will be around $59 per 1,000 m3, the minister told journalists in Astana on Tuesday.

According to the minister, the internal gas price in Kazakhstan will always be lower than that in Russia.

"It is clear that our internal gas price will always be lower than in Russia, not to mention the European markets. Under the master plan for gas supply provision all the gas produced will be supplied to the domestic market first," Mynbaev said at a government meeting on the same day.

Besides, as the minister noted, "we have an opportunity to agree a special gas price at the government level for the most important industrial projects."
