Minsk hopes Russian accession to WTO will accelerate admission of Kazakhstan, Belarus

MINSK. May 27 (Interfax) - Russia's accession to WTO will promote the speedy admission of Belarus to the international organization, Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Guryanov told the press in Minsk on Friday.

"We hope that Russia's accession to WTO, if it happens in the nearest future, will promote the speedy admission of Kazakhstan and Belarus so that the entire customs territory would be in WTO, and we could benefit from the conditions existing in the framework of the organization, which would permit, among other things, the establishment of customs unions of WTO members," Guryanov said.
