Inflation in Russia will not top 5.2% in H1 - Ulyukayev

LONDON. May 31 (Interfax) - First-half inflation will not exceed 5.2% this year, First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia Alexei Ulyukayev said at a forum organized by VTB Capital.

"My expectation is that inflation in the first half will be in the neighborhood of 5.2%," Ulyukayev said, noting that the Central Bank of Russia has forecast January-June inflation of 5.5%.

The Ban expects that in July, August, and September inflation will aggregate to no more than 0.3%-0.4%. In the remaining months of the year it will combine to another 1.5%. So, the Central Bank still considers inflation this year as a whole will be in the region of 7%.
