Dollar dips in first MICEX trading Friday
MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax) - The dollar lost a little ground as Friday MICEX trading began, while euro moved only slightly, and the ruble ticked up a bit against the bicurrency basket.
The dollar opened at 27.86-27.88 rubles/$1, 4-5 kopecks lower than Thursday close and 16-18 kopecks under the day's official exchange rate.
The euro began the day at 40.35 rubles/EUR1, just about even with Thursday close but 4 kopecks over the official exchange rate.
The bicurrency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45) was roughly 2 kopecks lower than its previous close at 33.49 rubles.
