Investment funds with focus on Russia, CIS see $60 mln inflow in latest week
MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax) - The outflow of capital from funds that invest in Russia and the CIS totaled $60 million in the seven-day period ending June 1, compared with an outflow of $261 million in the preceding week, according to data from Emerging Portfolio Fund Research (EPFR).
The net inflow in the year so far has shrunk to $3.755 billion.
The majority of emerging market funds registered an inflow in the latest week as investors responded to weak macroeconomic data in the U.S. and lingering concerns over debt problems in the EU, Uralsib said in a note to investors. The trend suggests that the outflow from Russian funds may end in the next few weeks.
