Bashinformsvyaz ups ordinary share dividends 16% for 2010, pref dividends 2%

UFA. June 3 (Interfax) - The shareholders in OJSC Bashinformsvyaz voted at their AGM June 3 to pay 2010 dividends of 0.066 rubles per ordinary and 0.262 rubles per preferred share with par value of one ruble, an Interfax correspondent attending the meeting reported.

Dividends for 2009 were 0.0567 rubles per ordinary and 0.245 rubles per pref. Thus, ordinary share dividends for 2010 are 16.4% larger and pref dividends 2.3% larger.

All told, 72.1 million rubles of 719.958 million rubles in net profits for 2020 will be paid out in dividends, which will be distributed before August 1.

The company will use 639 million rubles for its development.

The shareholders also elected an eleven-member board of directors: now on the board from the federal state property fund Rosimuschestvo is Viktoria Chernousova; from the Communications and Mass Media Ministry Denis Afanasyev and Alexander Mushkarin; from Bashkortostan its Communications and Mass Media Minister Boris Melkoyedov and Land and Property Relations Minister Yulai Ilyasov.

Six Bashinformsvyaz representatives were also elected: General Director Salavat Gaisin, his deputies Pyotr Kvashnin and Rustem Safeyev, Technical Director Shavkat Yanyshev, and two branch directors - Yevgeny Kurnosov and Rafail Ibragimov.

Gaisin was promoted to chairman of the board.

Bashinformsvyaz is the main fixed-line communications operator on the regional telecommunications market.

The company's charter capital is 985,189,110 rubles divided into 949,023,840 ordinary shares and 36,165,270 preferred type-A shares with par value of one ruble.

The state holds 28.24% of the company's charter capital, Bashkortostan 17.84%, and Bashtelecomlizing LLC and Bashtelecominvest LLC (both wholly owned Bashinformsvyaz subsidiaries) together hold more than 40% of charter capital. The board of directors at OJSC Rostelecom approved the acquisition of 39.8% of the stock in Bashinformsvyaz from Bashtelecominvest LLC.

Bashinformsvyaz shareholders will meet June 4 to consider the election to the general director's post of Safeyev, currently deputy general director.
