Yanukovych signs law introducing 9-14% duties on grain exports as of July 1

KYIV. June 10 (Interfax) - Ukraine will impose duties on the export of wheat (of 9% or at least 17 euro per tonne), corn (12%, or at least 20 euro per tonne), and barley (14%, or at least 23 euro per tonne) for the period until January 1, 2012.

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych signed a relevant law amending the Tax Code and imposing export duties on certain grain crops on June 10, a posting on the presidential website says.

The law will come into force on the first day of the month following the month of its promulgation, that is on July 1.
