Money supply in Belarus up 34% in Jan-May owing to May devaluation
MINSK. June 14 (Interfax) -Belarus' total board definition money supply stood at 67.36 trillion Belarusian rubles (4,982 Belarusian rubles/$1 on June 14, 2011) on June 1, 2011, up 34% for January-May of this year, the National Bank of Belarus said in a statistical report.
The total money supply in broad definition increased in January-April by 5.8%.
Owing to May's devaluation of the Belarusian ruble, the country's money supply in broad definition increased by 26.7% in May after an increase of 4.2% in April and a decrease of 2.6% in March.
