Transplant center gets go-ahead in Inner Mongolia

Shanghai. June 16. INTERFAX-CHINA - Health authorities in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region granted Baogang Hospital approval to set up a liver and kidney transplant center, the regional government announced June 15.

Located in Baotou City, the hospital is the first medical institution the region to gain approval for conducting such transplants.

Classified as a Grade III, Class A hospital, Baogang has already set up facilities for transplant patients, including transplant matching and post-operation management systems, according to the announcement.
