Gazprom boosts gas output by 30 bcm in Jan-May, exports up by 24 bcm - Miller
MOSCOW. June 16 (Interfax) - Russian gas giant Gazprom boosted gas output in January-May 2011 by 30 billion cubic meters in comparison with same period of last year while exports went up by 24 bcm, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller told Chinese President Hu Jintao during a visit of a Chinese delegation to the company's central dispatching department accompanied by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
"There definitely will be an increase in exports in 2011, by 22%," Miller said, adding that exports of gas in 2010 came to 140 bcm.
Miller said that Gazprom produced 508.5 bcm of gas last year. The company's maximum annual output was posted for 2008 with 550 bcm of gas.
