CB shifts corridor for bi-currency basket to 32.25-37.24 rubles on Fri - Ulyukayev
ST. PETERSBURG. June 17 (Interfax) - Russia's Central Bank shifted the corridor of the bi-currency basket (set at 0.45 euro and $0.55) to 32.25-37.25 rubles, the CB's First Deputy Chairman Alexei Ulyukayev said on the sidelines on the St. Petersburg Economic Forum.
"We shifted it today," he said.
Ulyukayev added that, prior to this change, the CB had not adjusted the basket's corridor for a long time.
Starting on March 1, the CB expanded the bi-currency basket's value corridor from four to five rubles. The thresholds for the indicator then came to 32.45 rubles-37.45 rubles. In addition, the CB also reduced its total accumulated investments, which shifted the operational interval by five kopecks, from $650 million to $600 million.
