EU hopes to solve "vegetable problem" at Moscow talks
MOSCOW. June 21 (Interfax) - The European Union is hoping for progress on the issue of lifting the Russian embargo on the import of European vegetables.
This issue can be resolved, at least, if they agree upon technical aspects, Fernando Valenzuela, head of the office of the EU delegation to Russia, told Interfax on Tuesday.
We hope that this problem will be resolved as early as possible. A delegation from Brussels is arriving today to meet with Russian colleagues, with Gennady Onischenko (head of the Russian consumer rights watchdog (Rospotrebnadzor), and we hope they will be able to resolve all of this, he said.
