There are no barriers to foreign investment in Belarus - Lukashenko
BREST, Belarus. June 23 (Interfax) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on Thursday denied that there are any political or economic barriers to foreign investment in his country.
"There are those who, due to some political nuances, don't want investments to come here. It's a lot of wishful thinking on the part of people who don't wish their nation well," Lukashenko told reporters during a trip to the Brest region.
He mentioned that Chinese experts had visited Belarus recently at his request. "They don't criticize us on any point; my assessments of our actions fully coincide with theirs," he said.
"It seems to me that this year we aren't doing too badly for investments," he said.
