Boosting share of taxes for formation of local budgets is feasible - Medvedev

MOSCOW. June 29 (Interfax) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev believes it would be feasible to boost the share of taxation, which is used to form local budgets.

"Henceforth, it would be feasible to increase the share of taxes used to develop local budgets," he said during his address on budgetary policy for 2012-2014.

Medvedev added that it is necessary to increase requirements for determining the amount of equalization transfers to support municipalities and the proportion between grants and subsidies provided to local budgets from regional budgets.
