Russia may allow vegetable imports from Denmark, Spain - Onishchenko

MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax) - Russia may lift a ban on vegetable imports from another two European Union member states by the end of Thursday or on Friday.

"These are likely to be Denmark and Spain, but the issue has not been ultimately settled yet," Russia's chief epidemiologist and head of the Rospotrebnadzor federal consumer rights protection agency Gennady Onishchenko has told Interfax.

"We are considering allowing supplies from two more EU member states as part of the existing agreements with the EU. The final decision may be passed by the end of Thursday or on Friday morning," he said.
