Airport security documents seized at Domodedovo - Investigative Committee

MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax) - The Russian Investigative Committee has confirmed searches at Domodedovo Airport.

"Searches and other investigative procedures are being carried out at Domodedovo's management companies in order to seize documents and items concerning these companies' security control activities," IC spokesman Vladimir Markin told Interfax.

These measures are being held "as part of a criminal probe launched by the IC investigative director over the Domodedovo Airport's failure to comply with transport safety requirements," he said.

"Investigative procedures are carried out strictly in accordance with the effective Penal Code," he said.

The airport's operation has not been disrupted, Markin said.
