Dollar declines for a third day against ruble
MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax) - The dollar declined against the ruble for a third day and the euro extended its rally.
The dollar fell 7.5 kopecks to 27.9 rubles/$1 and the euro gained 6.81 kopecks to 40.42 rubles/EUR1.
The bicurrency basket ($0.55 and 0.45 euro) inched down to 33.53 rubles, 1 kopeck lower.
The Central Bank lowered its official dollar rate by 20.32 kopecks to 27.8726 rubles/$1 and raised the euro rate 2.83 kopecks to 40.4153 rubles/EUR1.
The dollar's weighted-average exchange rate on MICEX declined 16.48 kopecks to 27.8746 rubles/$1 in Today deals and 13.78 kopecks to 27.8865 rubles/$1 in Tom deals. Combined dollar trading on MICEX amounted to $4.983 billion, of which $1.323 billion were Today deals and $3.660 billion were Tom deals.
The euro's average exchange rate rose 3.53 kopecks to 40.3985 rubles/EUR1 in Today deals and 4.04 kopecks to 40.3953 rubles/EUR1 in Tom deals. Combined euro trading amounted to 353.3 million euro, of which 182.6 million euro were Today deals and 170.7 million euro were Tom deals.
The MosPrime Rate for overnight loans rose 1 basis point to 3.83%.
