Japan's Kubota showcases carrot harvester in Shandong Province
Beijing. July 5. INTERFAX-CHINA - Kubota Corp., a Japanese tractor and heavy equipment manufacturer, demonstrated a carrot harvester in Shandong Province's Shouguang City on June 28, a Kubota representative told Interfax June 5.
The 200-kilogram capacity harvester - CH-151FV - is capable of harvesting 0.50 mu (333.33 square meters) per hour, according to an executive salesperson surnamed Zhou. The harvester marks Kubota's entry into China's harvester market.
Zhou declined to disclose the harvester's retail price or when it will be officially launched.
Shouguang is home to China's largest carrot plantation, spanning 50,000 mu (33.33 square kilometers).
