Georgia sees 22% rise in international reserves for H1

TBILISI. July 8 (Interfax) - Georgia's international reserves grew 2.9% in the first half of 20 to $2.76 billion, the National Bank of Georgia told Interfax.

The country's reserves went up 0.6% in June.

Foreign currency reserves totalled $2.52 billion at the end of June 2011, up 0.2% on the previous month and 23.3% from the start of the year. Special Drawing Rights reached $243.1 million, climbing 9.2%, or by $20.5 million, in the first half, and 5.9%, or $13.6 million, in June.

International forex reserves jumped 7.3% in 200 to $2.26 billion.
