Gazprom applies to transfer Kovykta license
KIRISHI. July 8 (Interfax) - Gazprom has applied to the Russian Federal Subsurface Resources Agency (Rosnedra) to transfer the license to the Kovykta gas condensate field from the balance sheet of OJSC Rusia Petroleum to itself, Rosnedra chief Anatoly Ledovskikh told reporters.
"Gazprom has already filed the papers, I think it will be [transferred] within the month," Ledovskikh said.
Gazprom paid 25.8 billion rubles for the Kovykta license at an auction on March 1, 2011. Proven reserves are 2 trillion cu m of gas.
