Central Bank purchased about $1 bln in first 6 days of July - Ulyukayev
MOSCOW. July 11 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia purchased about $1 billion on the domestic market in the first six trading days of July, Central Bank First Deputy Chairman Alexei Ulyukayev told journalists.
"We bought about $1 billion in the first six trading days," he said, adding that the Central Bank doesn't have an exact figure for total purchases yet.
The Central Bank said previously that it purchased $3.231 billion on the domestic market in June, 17.5% less than the $3.916 billion purchased in May, as well as 541.5 million euro, up from 434.0 million euro. Targeted interventions in June amounted to $2.800 billion and 497 million euro.
The Central Bank did not sell any dollars or euro in June.
