Raspadskaya reduces coal production 5% to 1.68 mln tonnes in Q2
MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - Raspadskaya produced 1.68 million tonnes of coal in the second quarter of 2011, 5% less than in the first quarter, the company said in a statement.
Sales of coking coal concentrate declined 3% to 904,000 tonnes.
The decline in was the result of a halt in operations at the Raspadskaya-Koksovaya mine.
The company has concluded talks with customers on deliveries in the third quarter. The contract prices for semi-hard grades of coal (FCA Mezhdurechensk) is about 4,930 rubles per tonne ($174.5).
