Domodedovo not negotiating share sale, not readying IPO - Kamenshchik
MOSCOW. July 19 (Interfax) - The company Domodedovo is not engaged in any negotiations over the sale of its stock and its not getting prepared for an initial public offering, chairman of the company's board of directors Dmitry Kamenshchik said during a press conference in Moscow.
Asked if the company might conduct a private or public placement this year, Kamenshchik responded, "No one knows the future." The company is not now in need of urgent refinancing, he noted.
"No company has every turned down a profitable deal. Are we in talks with VTB or Millenium [a Suleiman Kerimov company rumored to be in talks to acquire Domodedovo shares]? No, we aren't," he said.
Asked about Domodedovo's owners, Kamenshchik said that closed joint stock companies do not normally identify their owners and that Domodedovo is no exception.
Kamenshchik was reported to be the airport's 100% owner in materials prepared for an IPO in May 2011. However, the ownership structure may have changed since then.
