KazAzot and KazPhosphate to export $10 mln in production to Europe and America by year's end

ASTANA. July 19 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's LLC KazAzot and KazPhosphate plan to supply European and American markets $10 million in production by year's end, the Kazakh national agency for export and investment, Kaznex Invest, said in a press release.

For instance, LLC KazAzot plans to supply ammonium nature to Bulgaria, Lithuania, Poland and South America starting this autumn. KazPhosphate plans to export ammophos to Romania, the Czech Republic, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Poland, Serbia and Ukraine this year.

In addition, a project with Lithuania's Arvi Agro for developing capacity for nitrogenous-phosphate-potash fertilizer (ammophos) at KazPhosphate is under discussion. Capacity could come to 15,000-20,000 tonnes of production a month.

KazPhosphate carries out geological exploration work, production and processing of phosphoric ore. The company also produces and sells white phosphorus, mineral fertilizers and feed phosphates.

KazAzot is the sole producer of ammonia and ammonium nitrate.

Kaznex Invest is Kazakhstan's national operator for developing and promoting non-oil and gas exports. The state company specializes in attracting foreign investors while also accessing state budget finances and providing services free of charge.
