2011 arms export targets will be met - agency chief
MOSCOW. July 20 (Interfax) - Russian defense exports in 2011 will top $11 billion, Mikhail Dmitriyev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSVTS), said.
"At the moment, arms exports are already 64% complete. There is no doubt that all the set targets will be met this year, and the export of defense products will be over $11 billion," he told journalists on Wednesday.
The geography of Russia's military-technical cooperation "has not changed much yet. Russia is cooperating with 82 countries in this area, very actively with 50 of them. This year the list was joined by Equatorial Guinea," Dmitriyev said.
