Canada's Tethys Petroleum holds listing on LSE
ALMATY. July 25 (Interfax) - Canada's Tethys Petroleum has held a listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
The company was authorized for the listing by the U.K. Financial Services Authority in order to include its shares among the standard category on the LSE. The stock has started trading on the LSE's main market under the ticker TPL, the company said.
The company is neither mobilizing funds nor issuing new shares owing to its London listing.
Tethys Petroleum said that the its initial common share listing remains on the Toronto Stock Exchange while the secondary listing will continue on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).
Tethys Petroleum Limited is an independent oil and gas exploration and production company whose principal activities include the exploration for, and the acquisition, development and production of oil and natural gas resources in Central Asia.
