Allianz Ukraine boosts premium income 71% in H1
KYIV. July 27 (Interfax) - Allianz Ukraine (Kyiv) collected premiums totaling 79.038 million hryvni in the first half of 2011, 71.2% more than in the same period last year, the insurer said in a statement.
Property insurance accounted for 43.4% of the total, voluntary medial insurance - 30.3%, auto collision insurance - 10%, cargo coverage, 8.1%, personal liability coverage - 6.4% and other coverages - 1.8%.
Benefits paid increased 47% in the six months to 22.397 million hryvni.
Voluntary medical insurance accounted for 55.5% of the total, property insurance - 26%, auto collision - 14.9% and other coverages - 3.6%.
Insurance reserves totaled 99.846 million hryvni as of the end of June, 19.5% more than a year earlier.
The official exchange rate on July 27 was 7.971 hryvni/$1.
