Ukrainian GDP expands 3.5%-3.8% in Q2 - NBU
KYIV. July 28 (Interfax) - Ukraine's gross domestic product grew from 3.5% to 3.8% in the second quarter of this year, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said on its website.
"GDP growth in the second quarter was within a range of 3.5% to 3.8% in annual measurement. This decrease in the growth rate (in comparison with 5.3% growth in the first quarter) was to a large degree a product of the effect of the comparison base," the NBU said.
As reported, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said earlier this month that, by preliminary estimates, the country's GDP grew 4.4% over the first half of 2011.
