Lukoil refinery in Bulgaria to suspend operations Friday - Lukoil Bulgaria
SOFIA. July 28 (Interfax) - The Lukoil oil refinery in Burgas, Bulgaria will sometime in the next 20-30 hours bring operations to a halt, the chief of Lukoil Bulgaria, Valentin Zlatev, said at a special press conference arranged in connection with the country's Customs Service's possible decision to order a suspension of refinery operations.
The agency Novinite reports that Zlatev said talks that were to have been held Thursday morning between Lukoil representatives, notably head of the company's main oil-refining and petrochemicals division Oleg Durov, and representatives of Bulgaria's Finance Ministry and Customs Service were canceled "for reasons unknown to us."
This morning, Bulgaria's Finance Ministry also announced the negotiations' cancellation without giving a reason.
