Ukrainian GDP growth slows to 3.8% in Q2
KYIV. July 29 (Interfax) - Ukraine's gross domestic product (GDP) increased in the second quarter of this year by 3.8% year-on-year, the Ukrainian State Statistics Service said in a statement.
The agency said that the country's GDP increased in the second quarter by 0.5% in comparison with the first with the inclusion of seasonal factors.
The agency said that Ukraine's GDP growth for the first quarter came to 5.3% year-on-year.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this past week that he estimated the country's GDP growth for the first half at 4.4%. The Ukrainian government expects GDP to increase this year by 4.7% with inflation at 8.9%.
