Rosnedra hopes to hold auction for Khanty-Mansiisk oil field in 2012

BOGASHEVO, Tomsk region. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Russia's subsoil resources agency Rosnedra is interested in holding an auction in the first quarter of 2012 to sell the license for the Severo-Rogozhnikovskoye hydrocarbon deposit, which is part of the large Shpilman field in the Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous district, the agency's director Anatoly Ledovskikh told journalists during a trip to the Tomsk region on Saturday.

"We are interested [in selling this license] in the first quarter of 2012," he said.

The documents on the Severo-Rogozhnikovskoye deposit have already undergone all of the necessary procedures and will soon be submitted to the Russian Natural Resources Ministry, Ledovskikh said.

"We wanted to hold it [the auction] in the fourth quarter [of 2011]. But it depends on whether or not we manage to sell the Imilorskoye deposit this year," he said.

The license for the Imilorskoye field, which is also located in the Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous district, costs 29 billion rubles, and its sale will allow the agency to fulfill this year's plan for the sale of mineral resource deposits, he said.

The Severo-Rogozhnikovskoye field holds 32.9 million tonnes of C1 category oil, 57.4 million tonnes of C2 category oil, and 7.2 million tonnes of C3 category oil.
