Petro Karbo Khem-Mukachevo launches liquid-gas terminal in Zakarpattya
KYIV. Aug 1 (Interfax) - Petro Karbo Khem-Mukachevo has put into operation a terminal for the receipt, storage, and shipment of liquefied hydrocarbon gases and petrochemical products from large-gauge railway cisterns to European-standard cisterns able to handle up to 500,000 tonnes per year in Zakarpattya, Ukraine.
A company statement says that one of the advantages of the complex is its convenient location - 30 kilometers from the border with Hungary, 40 km from the border with Slovakia, 80 km from the border with Poland, and 100 km from the border with Romania. A customs post is slated for creation on the terminal's grounds to make the clearance of loads efficient and timely.
The terminal will handle liquefied gases of Russian and Kazakh origin.
The plan is for the complex to be fully up and running this October.
Petro Karbo Khem-Mukachevo is wholly owned by Maistel Services Ltd. of Malta, which was founded by a group of Kazakh entrepreneurs and European financial institutions. It specializes in trading in, expediting, and handling products from the oil and gas and petrochemicals sectors.
