Aven made head of Alfa-Bank Kyiv's supervisory board

KYIV. Aug 3 (Interfax) - Pyotr Aven has been appointed the chairman of Alfa-Bank (Kyiv) instead of Johann Jonah, the bank said in a press release.

The necessary decision for this was made by the bank's shareholders on August 3.

Aven is the chairman of the board at banking group Alfa-Bank and member of the board of directors at Russia's Alfa-Bank .

Alfa-Bank Kyiv (prior to January 2001, Kyiv Investment Bank) was founded in 1993 and is part of Russia's Alfa-Group. The biggest shareholders in the bank are Cyprus-based ABH Ukraine Limited with 80.1% and Russia's Alfa-Bank with 19.9%.

Alfa-Bank Kyiv was 57th biggest bank in the CIS and ninth largest Ukrainian bank for 2010 according to the Interfax-1000: Banks of the CIS, compiled by the Interfax Center for Economic Analysis.
