Uzbekistan Airways carries 9% more passengers in H1
TASHKENT. Aug 4 (Interfax) - Uzbekistan Airways carried 1.062 million passengers in H1 2011, up 9.2% year-on-year, the airline's press office said.
Passenger numbers grew 15.4% in the CIS, 2.9% on flights to non-CIS countries and 6.5% on domestic flights.
The airline carried out 11,929 flights, or 301 more than in the first half of last year.
It carried 24,000 tonnes of cargo, up 6.7%.
Uzbekistan Airways carried 2.16 million passengers in 2010, up 14.3% from 2009.
