Moscow has virtually stopped illegal gambling - mayor

MOSCOW. Aug 5 (Interfax) - Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has said that illegal gambling in Moscow has virtually ceased to exist.

At an expanded meeting of the leadership of the Moscow prosecutor's office on Friday, he accounted the achievement to the concerted actions of the prosecutor's office, police, the Federal Security Service and the city authorities.

"I hope we will keep up this level," Sobyanin said.
