Highly skilled foreign personnel exempt from migration registration within 90 days
MOSCOW. Aug 8 (Interfax) - The Russian government has exempted the highly skilled foreign labor force from the duty to be registered at migration offices within three months.
The resolution was posted in the government databank on Monday.
Highly skilled specialists and members of their families will not have to seek registration within 90 days of their arrival in Russia. If they are already registered, they will be exempted from the duty to get registered within 30 days of their arrival in a new place of residence.
After those periods expire, the specialists and their families must be registered within a week.
The resolution also says that foreigners and stateless persons participating in the state program of assistance to the voluntary resettlement of compatriots from abroad to Russia and their families shall be exempt from paying registration fees.
