DTEK not in official negotiation for concession to 4 DUEK mines

KYIV. Aug 11 (Interfax) - Major private Ukrainian energy holding DTEK is not at this time engaged in official negotiations for a concession to four mines owned by the state-run enterprise Donetsk Coal Energy Company (DUEK), the DTEK PR department told Interfax on Thursday.

"DTEK always openly announces its investment plans regarding either some coal or energy enterprise. At this moment the company is not in any official negotiations regarding involvement in the reformation of DUEK," the company said.

Various media outlets had reported that four of DUEK's nine mines - Yuzhnodonbasskaya #3, Skochinsky, Oktyabrsky Rudnik, and Trudovskaya - might be acquired by DTEK under concession.
