Russian budget surplus at 2.5% of GDP in 7 mths - Finance Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 12 (Interfax) - Russia's federal budget surplus for January-July 2011 was 722.645 billion rubles or 2.5% of GDP, the Finance Ministry said, quoting preliminary data.

Budget revenue was 6.234 trillion rubles, or 60.5% of approved revenue for the year. Cash spending was 5.511 trillion rubles, or 50.0% of adjusted spending for the year.

The primary budget surplus was an estimated 857.57 billion rubles, or 3% of GDP.
