Auctions for 2 Irkutsk Region fields declared void

IRKUTSK. Aug 18 (Interfax) - Irkutsk Region resource agency Irkutsknedra has declared auctions for the Kiisky and Kochemsky hydrocarbon sections to have been without result, head of Irkutsknedra's licensing section Sergei Popov told Interfax.

"The auction for the Kochemsky section was invalid due to there being no bids. There were two bids for the Kiisky section that were rejected because they did not meet the requirements of the auction documentation," Popov said.

The auctions were to have been held on Thursday.

Estimated hydrocarbon reserves within the bounds of the Kiisky section were, as of January 1, 2002: D1 recoverable oil 31.9 million tonnes and D2 3.1 million tonnes; D1 gas 33.8 billion cubic meters (bcm) and D2 9.7 bcm. The starting one-time payment for Kiisky section rights was 134 million rubles.

Recoverable oil reserves within the bounds of the Kochemsky section as listed on the Russian state balance of subsurface resources as of January 1, 2010 amount to C3 8 million tonnes. Estimated reserves were, as of January 1, 2002: D1 recoverable oil 27.2 million tonnes and D2 3.2 million tonnes; D1 gas 21.3 bcm and D2 0.6 bcm. The starting one-time payment for Kochemsky section rights was 123 million rubles.
