Rosaviatsia proposes requirements for airlines to have at least 10 similar aircraft as of Jan
ZHUKOVSKY. Aug 18 (Interfax) - Rosaviatsia (Russian Aviation) proposes introducing fleet requirements for airlines, which carry out regular long-distance flights, the head of agency, Alexander Neradko, said during the MAKS-2011 Airshow.
He said that requirements should be placed on airlines regarding the minimum number of aircraft with the same seating capacity in their fleets: as of January 1, 2012 - at least 10 airliners and January 1, 2013 - 20 airliners.
"This figure might be revised in the future," Neradko said.
He added that these requirements would not affect charter, regional and cargo carriers.
Neradko said that these requirements should be introduced among Federal Aviation Rules.
