Magnit pays 997.6 mln rubles in 2010, Q1 2011 dividends
MOSCOW. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Major Russian retailer Magnit (RTS:MGNT) has paid out dividends for 2010 and Q1 2011 totaling 997,638,369 rubles, a company statement says.
The dividends for last year totaled 584,566,229 (6.57 rubles per share), and for the first quarter of this year 415,513,591 rubles (4.67 rubles per share).
Of the amount earmarked for dividends, 2,441,452 rubles was not paid out, as the shareholders had not submitted required information.
The decision to pay dividends for these two periods was made at Magnit's annual shareholder meeting on June 23. The payout for 2010 was 35% smaller than for 2009 (10.006 rubles per share).
Magnit paid its first dividends for 2008 (121.54 million rubles at 1.46 rubles per share). Then, for Q1 2009, the company paid out 396.25 million rubles (4.76 rubles per share).
For 2009 as a whole, Magnit paid 895.09 million rubles (10.06 rubles per share). That was a little more than 10% of 2009 net profits (8.7 billion rubles).
As of September 30, 2010, Magnit's charter capital was 889,750.73 rubles split into 88,975,073 ordinary shares with par value of 0.01%. The retailer's biggest shareholder is its General Director Sergei Galitsky, who owns 41.0935% of company stock directly.
