Gazprombank boosts voting stake in Rostelecom to 8.4%

MOSCOW. Aug 22 (Interfax) - Gazprombank owns 7.83% of the charter capital in OJSC Rostelecom , which corresponds to 8.4% of the telecom's common shares. The change in Gazprombank's packet took place on August 19, the bank said in a statement.

Therefore, Gazprombank holds 0.9% of the total preferred shares in Rostelecom.

The bank's stake earlier came to 0.52% of capital (0.56% of votes), the bank said.

At the same time, Rostelecom said that Gazprombank's stake on May 10 (the date for closing the register for taking part in Rostelecom's annual shareholder meeting) came to 6.51% of charter capital and 6.498% of common shares. The bank's preferred stake was higher at 6.66%.

The main shareholder in the merged Rostelecom is Svyazinvest, which holds 40.0687% of charter capital and 43.37% of common shares in the company.

Furthermore, state corporation Vnesheconombank (VEB) owns 2.26% of capital and 2.45% of voting shares in Rostelecom while also managing the Deposit Insurance Agency's (DIA) stake, which comes to 6.86% and 7.43%, respectively.

Rostelecom's charter capital comes to 7.965 million rubles divided into 2,943,258,269 common shares and 242,831,469 preferred shares at a face value of 0.0025 rubles each.
