Aug 22 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has suspended its consideration of the proposed acquisition of 50% of the Itera oil and gas company by TNK-BP because the deal has to be referred to the government's commission for monitoring foreign investment, a FAS source told Interfax.
"Consideration of the case has been suspended, the paperwork will be submitted to the government's foreign investment commission," the source said.
