Belalko starts exporting alcohol product to Chile
MINSK. Aug 24 (Interfax) - Brest-based liquor and vodka producer Belalko has begun shipping its first consignments of product to Chile, the company told Interfax.
"In July of this year the enterprise shipped its product to Chile. This was the first delivery of our product to Latin America," company sources said.
Chile received a container packed with Balta brand vodka, which is distilled from the makings of Stalitsa Lyuks vodka. "Company specialists have long sought the conquest of the next continent, and hope that this shipment heralds the first in a series of containers to this country," the company said.
As to the geography of the company's exports, the sources said that this year has also seen the start of alcohol-product shipments to Turkey. Belalko products are now exported to more than ten countries, the said. "In the future, the number of countries where they are familiar with our product will only increase," they said.
"In the near future, the plan is to set up the production of flavored liqueurs carrying the brandname 'Puschanskaya' and the punch '9 Potseluyev [Kisses],'" they said. Plans also call for expanding the company's product line, and it will be making two new products in this line - "Shlyubnaya" and "12 Imen," they said.
Belalko was founded in 1897. The Ivatsevichsky alcohol plant and Brodinitsky starch plant are structural subdivisions. The company makes more than fifty named products, which it also sells through its own eight stores. The plant has a management quality system in place corresponding to STB ISO 9001-2009 requirements.
