Ukraine's Agroton boosts net profit by 22% in H1
KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax) - Ukrainian agrarian group Agroton increased its net profit by 21.8% year-on-year to $34.19 million in January-June 2011, the company said in a financial report on Thursday.
The company's sales revenue increased by 230% to $64.51 million.
Since costs went up less than in 2010, the value of the holding's biological asset increased while gross profit went up by 6.9% to $45.88 million.
Founded in 1992, Agroton's core business is the cultivation, processing, storage and sale of grain, chiefly sunflower and wheat. The company also handles production and sale of livestock as well as food production.
Agroton has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since November 2010.
