Gazprom Neft cuts aviation fuel sales on exchange, ups deliveries to Koltsovo

MOSCOW. Sept 7 (Interfax) - Gazprom Neft , in light of the critical fuel shortage at the Yekaterinburg airport Koltsovo, has at the request of CJSC TEK Koltsovo reduced the volume of its aviation kerosene to be offered on the exchange and will deliver 3,000 tonnes of the fuel to the enterprise this month, the Gazprom Neft press service told Interfax.

Gazprom Neft sells around 75%-80% of its aviation fuel under agreements with airlines, airports, and fueling complexes every month, the company said. About 15% of output is sold through the commodity exchange.

The company plans to produce 252,000 tonnes of aviation fuel this month, of which 110,000 tonnes (44%) it intends to supply to Moscow-area airports.

As reported, the Moscow air hub and Koltsovo are experiencing problems with getting hold of sufficient amounts of aviation kerosene. The Prosecutor General's Office has launched a study associated with the shortage of air fuel in Moscow and Yekaterinburg. Koltsovo has sent an official appeal to Russia's federal state reserves agency requesting the release of aviation kerosene from the reserves, which would cover the shortage.
