MINSK. Sept 14 (Interfax) - First trading in an additional session on the Belarusian currency and stock exchange produced market exchange rates of 8,600 Bel. rubles/$1, 305 Bel. rubles/Russian ruble, and 12,100 Bel. rubles/EUR1, the deputy chairman of the National Bank of Belarus (NBB), Taras Nadolny, told reporters after the session ended on Wednesday.

"The National Bank conducted no interventions today," Nadolny reported.

There was an insufficiency of freely convertible currencies on offer, he said. "Offers of these currencies were less than 5% of average daily export earnings," he said.

As reported, the NBB opened the September 14 additional forex trading session right after the main session.

Foreign currency was offered for sale during the additional session, excepting mandatory sales and purchases. The forex purchase and sale exchange rates were established based on supply and demand.
