Tobolsk-Neftekhim boosts production of natural gas liquids by 10% in Jan-Aug
TYUMEN. Sept 14 (Interfax) - LLC Tobolsk-Neftekhim, which is part of SIBUR Holding, increased its total processing of natural gas liquids (NGL) by 10.3% year-on-year to 2.49 million tonnes in January-August 2011, the Tyumen Region's Subsoil and Environmental Department told Interfax.
The enterprise's production of butadiene increased by 2.3% to 122,300 tonnes in the eight months and methyl tertiary butyl ether - 9.2% to 77,600 tonnes.
The company also increased production of liquid petroleum gas (LPG) by 11.5% year-on-year to 1.743 million tonnes.
Tobolsk-Neftekhim processes hydrocarbon materials with a specialization in the production of liquefied gas (propane, isobutene, hexane and isopentane), monomers and high-octane gasoline additives.
