Uralkali posts H1 pro forma IFRS net profit of $794 mln, above forecast

MOSCOW. Sept 22 (Interfax) - Uralkali closed H1 2011 with net profit of $794 million to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the potash miner said.

This was higher than the $714 million that analysts predicted in a consensus forecast for Interfax.

These are the company's first pro forma results, which include Silvinit, another potash producer with which Uralkali merged this year.

Uralkali also said it would be paying at least half its net profit to IFRS as dividends, and that its board of directors had approved the necessary amendment to dividend policy.
